The impact of globalization and the consequent open market policy in the country has witnessed tremendous changes in industry and technology during the last few years. As the environment is constantly changing, Kashmir Government Polytechnic is trying to keep pace with these developments and strives for achieving excellence in this field. Kashmir Govt. Polytechnic through various innovative modes of teaching and learning processes serves the State of Jammu and Kashmir in providing need based, motivated and dedicated technical manpower with latest Technical and comunication skills. The institute produces individuals who can facilitate the creation of an Eco-friendly industrial base in otherwise industrially backward Valley of Kashmir. The Institute encourages an environment for the students to become successful entrepreneurs. The institute is currently focused on restoration and up-gradation of existing infrastructure which suffered a huge damage during the devastating floods of September 2014.
