Library :Library is the power house of our Institution. Library caters to the learning and teaching activities of our institution. It collects, manages and disseminates the information to its users according to their need. . Library is situated in the heart of the campus incorporating the best possible resources to provide the reader right information at the right time. The main objective of our library is to satisfy the present and future information needs of the users and to evolve an efficient system for information storage and retrieval. Also, it helps the faculty members and students to attain high academic distinction. The number of the books is almost Sixteen thousand out of which 70% books are related to the field of Engineering &Technology and the rest ones are related to generalities. In order to keep the students abreast with the latest information, the library provides CAS (Current Awareness Service) by subscribing to a large number of periodicals, magazines and journals. The library of Kashmir Government Polytechnic is a place everyone loves to visit and spend some time in its cool, neat & tidy and peaceful environment. The books and other material are well maintained and the library is planning for automating the library for effective user oriented experience.
