MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

To be recognized as a center of excellence for lifelong learning. Our courses will be grounded in outstanding teaching and comprehensive learner support, meeting the needs of diverse, ambitious, and curious students. Staff and students will work in partnership to nurture a vibrant learning community committed to sustainability and social justice.
MISSION:
With the goal of educating engineers capable of addressing 21st-century challenges, our department is developing an educational experience that is,

  1. Our program builds a solid foundation in the core concepts of mechanical engineering while offering a broad, in-depth, and creative learning experience.
  2. By providing career advising, meaningful networking experiences, and direct engagement with industry partners, we prepare our students for the decade ahead and empower them to confidently pursue paths ranging from engineering careers to entrepreneurship or further education.
  3. Through a balance of analytical rigor and hands-on application, students gain the understanding, creativity, and agility needed to transform ideas into reality.
